In the Spotlight with Maeve Ward of Link Loans

Maeve Ward of Link Loans gives us the lowdown on the industry, her job and why she'd secretly like to be a monkey...

1. How long have you been at Link Loans and what did you do previously?

I’ve been with Link Loans for coming up to 16 months now. Previously I was with Link Lending as Sales Manager.

2. What is the best thing about your job?

The opportunity to make a difference and the relationships I have with my brokers.

3. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

A monkey – because they’re intelligent and cheeky. But not the other things they do!

4. What would you be doing if you weren’t working in this industry?

That’s a tough one, but I think it would have to be events organising because I love working with people and seeing their dreams come true.

5. What do you see happening in the secured lending industry in the next 12 months?

I see Link Loans becoming the number one secured lender and dominating the market.

6. Where is your favourite destination in the world and why?

Ireland, particularly Sligo, because it’s home.

7. What is your favourite movie and why?

Currently it’s Taken, because it is unpredictable and exciting.

8. What did you want to be when you were a kid?

When I was a kid I wanted to be a journalist, because I’m nosy and I love finding things out about people.

9. What attracted you to the job with Link Loans?

David Johnson and Philip George – everything they touch turns to success.

10. What do you like to do on your weekends off?

Catch up on sleep! And spend time with family and friends.
