Buy-to-let and commercial specialist Connect for Intermediaries has expanded its mortgage network proposition to include residential permissions.

More than 100 members will now have access to a panel of at least 80 lenders across all areas of specialist finance.

As part of the service, appointed representatives of the network will be offered mortgage-placement guidance, full administration and compliance support, and unique mortgage-sourcing tools.

“The specialist residential sector is a growing area of the mortgage market and I feel now is the perfect time to expand our network offering to help members better serve the needs of their clients with mainstream and specialist residential mortgage solutions,” explained Liz Syms, CEO of Connect.

“We are widely known for our panel and specialism in the buy-to-let and commercial markets, and this will remain our biggest USP.

“However, we also have in place a comprehensive panel of residential lenders and an established help desk, so our unique network is ideally positioned to deliver support and expertise to help our members expand their own client offering.”

In September, Connect announced the launch of an unsecured loan portal for its members.
