B&C can exclusively reveal that a new lender to the market has opened its doors in Scotland.

The Just Cashflow (JCF) Plc. offices open for Scottish business are based in Hamilton. The lender plans to employ seven to 10 staff to fill the office. The firm has been located in Hamilton for around 12 weeks while it has prepared for the move into Scottish lending.

John McLellan, CEO and being of Scottish decent himself, said JCF’s confidence in Scotland’s growth over the coming years was the motivation behind the move, despite the current uncertainty over whether Scotland will remain part of the UK in the forthcoming Referendum.

He added: “The climate in Scotland for lending has been difficult for some time, but the green shoots are beginning to come through and we are now delighted to make our launch to support the Scottish entrepreneurs and those brokers who service that market.”

JCF, which specialises in funding young and growing UK companies, has already partnered up with many brokers and introducers serving the markets in England and Wales. This is thanks to the support it receives from the NACFB.

Last week, B&C announced that the lender launched a fresh commercial product replicating the features of a traditional bank overdraft.

The new lender has expressed a keenness to tap into the commercial finance broker community. They are exhibiting at the June NACFB Expo.

The management team’s experience in building successful partnership programs with introducers has led them to creating an incentive package that provides up-front fees and also allows for an on-going source of income for the broker.
